an escaped analogy

random thought

analogies are slippery;

thought of one this morning

and it was gone by afternoon

turned to pick up common sense

and it disappeared

squeezed out by reality

the ketchup of life.

I prefer tomatoes.

Cherry, preferably.

I didn't do any editing on this; it was right off the cuff, so I'd like to hear thoughts and I'm open to ideas for how to make it better :)
