To be Loved by You

To be Loved by You

To be loved by you

I close my eyes unhappy with what I see,
But you look and you love every bit of me.
I sometimes feel I won't ever belong,
Then you smile at me and I can't think that for long.

But I open my eyes and I know it's not true,
And yet I can't wait for the day when I'm loved by you.

Some days I feel you'll never come along,
But then I imagine your hand and it's safe and it's strong.
When I try to picture your face the images fleet,
I'm lonely, but I know someday you'll sweep me off my feet.

Living life alone is really nothing new,
But I can't wait for the day when I'm loved by you.

You love my freckles and my dimple when I smile,
And you don't care that my clothes aren't always in style.
I hate my stutter and the way the sounds repeat,
But at my every word your heart skips a beat.

I think I'm imperfect; you don't think that's true,
So I cant wait to be loved by you.

Please hurry up, get here straight away.
I don't want to wait another month or week or day.
We have laughs and smiles and kisses to share,
And being apart is getting hard to bear.

I think our introductions are long overdo,
Because I can't wait to be loved by you.
