COLOURS

COLOURS

A Poem by Peter Rogerson
"

Nothing like Donovan's excellent 60's song of the same title....

"
Green, like the new wood growing
Green, like the grass where we play,

Green, like the seeds we were sowing,

Green is the new shape of today.

Blue, like the skies we were flying,
Blue, like the waters and sea,
Blue was the sound you were sighing,
Blue when you looked on me.

Red was the fire that was blazing
Red, the light in your eyes,
Red was the hell you were razing
Red, like the shape of my lies.

Black was that day called tomorrow
Black when you took your knife,
Black when I saw you in sorrow
And black when you stole my life.
