My dad passed away Feb 17, 2023. In loving memory of my hero.

One week today
That I said goodbye
This nightmare week
Has really crawled by

I've cried before
With struggles of the past
But I know this hurt
Will forever last

My heart has a hole
Where once there was a fire
You left me too soon
But it is God's desire

I'm going to live
The best that I can
To show you dad
I can be a good man

I'll do my best
To make you proud
I just hope your watching
From your little cloud

Because my life will be
A reflection of you
I will always try to ask
'What would my dad do?'

If I see you again
If into Heaven I'm allowed
The first question I'll ask you
Is did I make you proud

I miss you so much
But I know that you'll be
Up there in Heaven
Waiting for me
