Lost Dreams

Lost Dreams

A Poem by phantom pains
"

Time has fled, once red lips, faded pale with loss of conscious, while a dreary sight of light lures her to a frightful eternity.

"

It wasn’t just a vicious cycle-

It was venomous.

It inhibited perception, amongst limb paralysis,

Heart palpitations, and hallucinations.

The blood infected in seconds,

The body in minutes,

The mind, instantaneously.

The vital flow halted in mid-sing,

The numbness of the feet,

The once rejuvenated heart, limp,

All whilst the wind howls the words unspoken

Of haunting past regrets.

The vibrations of lost syllables,

Of lost glances, of lost time, of lost dreams,

And found anxieties.
