Your's Truly

Your's Truly

A Poem by phmicky
"

This poem is about a battle with addiction

"
Do you miss me
The way I chilled your skin
such a perfect harmony
I became your hobby
your muse
nor could you ever refuse
the way I made you feel
kept you up all night
never did you put up a fight
momma said no
but you put on a show
never scared to live your life
now look at you
how is your down spiral
you trusted me
and I made you bleed
It started with weed
then you traveled to LSD
How do you plea?
I did not force you
you jumped into the breeze
I told you my name
It was never a guessing game

I became your plane
flying you in and out each night
you even used me to commit suicide
how ironic,
the thing you envy the most you relied on to help you die

Don't lie
you loved our life
the needles in your skin
what a sweet gentle sin
Now you crave me even more
your life is crashing
and things are becoming hazy
you can't erase me
my name is Addiction
and I shall never leave.
