December Song

A poem in which i tried to express how beautiful winter can be.

Lingering in the sweet, pale sunrise,

Gracing the frosted world with a delicate harmony

 

Pure and soft beneath these melancholy skies, hopeful

despite the resentment of the cold

 

Angelic, aching notes dance over fresh snow,

Radiant, breathtaking… winter

 

Reflected in the mirror-bright icicles,

Symphonies of delicate threnody

 

Offering tentative charity:

a moment of compassion, hope,

 

And warmth

Yeeeeahhh... very nice. You have used some really lovely phraseology here and some perfect words to conjour up a crisp winter morning. I love winter mornings when everything is cold, silent and sterile - wonderful.

Very descriptive.. can feel the chill and smell the air ,crisp and brisk..
It is a floaty poem to me.. what that means ot me is it makes me feel dreamy..
Being in the triple digits here, temperature wise, this is refreshing.

As weary as I am of snow and cold and cars that refuse to start and frozen pipes and aching backs from shoveling snow after decades of Alaskan winters... this makes it sound pretty nice. You ARE the MASTER of deceit (kidding of course).
