Maternal Jewel

Maternal Jewel

A Poem by phoenix on the rise
"

curiosity:mother of discovery

"

She cradles him in her arms

She nurtures and cares for him,

singing to him softly until the world is ready for him at last.

Discovery.

A rare and beautiful creature,

yet common to some.

Never knowing of the wonders he brings about,

or the terrors he unleashes.

Brought up by a mother forgotten by many,

and treasured above all by others.

Curiosity.

A wonderful being indeed.

Always needed by the world,

yet never truly appreciated.

Stripped of her glory

and left as a peasant.

Yet still always there.

Always waiting for those who are willing to notice.

No need to destroy anything... this is simply a beautiful tribute to one's mother.. mother's are underrated.. many are not famous or rich.. but are the single most important thing in everyone's lives!!! Keep writing as it is good for the soul.. does not always have to rhyme... to touch someone! thank you again!

That was nice and subtle. ^^ I like your take on these underestimated concepts. It's funny how a certain group dislikes being curious and discredits discovery: They just want to rush it and go straight for they think is "Truth".

Dude, watching your style grow and develop is going to be a fascinating event. :) Thanks for posting. This was pleasantly descriptive!

Eternally Yours.
