Life Closing In

Life Closing In

A Poem by phoenix on the rise
"

the world is getting closer

"

The walls.

The dreadful walls.

Closing in all around me.

The doors are open,

the locks are gone,

and yet they are still there.

The walls.

Closing in all around me.

The air becomes clean,

the heat becomes bearable,

and yet the walls are still there.

Closing in all around me.

Nothing to frustrate me

and nothing to cause me pain,

and yet the walls are still there.

Closing in all around me.

Life is so wonderful,

and my life is great,

and yet they are still there.

the walls.

Closing in,

and wiping me out.

Goodbye to my sanity,

and hello to the walls.

A writing maybe signifying a message that you have so many opportunities abounding yet restricted by your own walls to protect your inner-self? No need to destroy this.. this is emotions coming out raw.. we all have walls some people have more than one door or window.. others have put walls up and looked doors or no doors to protect their inner being.. I hope you create a door one-day and let someone in! Thank you for sharing!

Ha! That was cool. Everyone hates those God-awful obstacles that Life just has to come with. You display the pains of the world in such a simple and subtle way-- as if you're trying to say that problems can be faced easily: The last two verses pretty much give that away.

Great job!

Eternally Yours, Blade and Blood
