Return

A Poem by Picture of Poetry
"

A broken love.

"

Return to me,

and set me free.

Unlock these cage doors,

set me loose,

and let me be.

Return to my heart,

and start the spark.

Begin this roaring fire,

shouting beautiful love,

and freedom remarks.

Return to our home,

where you left me alone.

Open these broken windows,

blocking out the world,

and see the side of me that you have never known.

Return to my life,

for I am your life.

When you walked out the door,

you killed me in cold blood,

and stabbed me with a knife.

Return to me,

and set me free.

Unlock these cage doors,

set me loose,

and let me be.

I absolutely ADORE the rhyme scheme in this poem. o= It's wonderful and sounds so natural. Great job! Otherwise, I loved the poem. Another dark piece! You're very good at writing depression without sounding cliche or over-the-top. So great job! (:
