Not for Darkness

Not for Darkness

A Poem by Pinki Tuscaderro

I am night owl

Treasuring the hours

Before sunrise

When all is quiet, at peace

No people

Clog up the streets and airwaves

Nature comes out of hiding

For a moment

Birds sing,

Raccoons and squirrels chatter

I love nighttime

not for darkness

Author's Note

Pinki Tuscaderro
The author encourages thoughtful criticism and insightful comments and asks potential reviewers to refrain from offering unexplained opinions (i.e., "I like it." vs. "I don't like it.") as they only serve the ego where improving writing skills is the authors intent. Thank you.
