Eating Dirt

Eating Dirt

A Poem by Pinki Tuscaderro

These are lyrics to a song I wrote.

There is a season in my mind

there is lightning in your eyes

she says wait until the laughter dies

darkness falls and the winds rise

There is silence golden

but the crowds are gathering

and whispers all around me

ask what love, what love is

Souls listlessly roaming

in a world so far from home

and our feet are never dirty

with the dust that is life

And the sun is shining

but the clouds are rolling in

and the grass is always greener

on the other side

of the pasture
