A Ship at Sail

A Ship at Sail

A Poem by pinksnowboots

A ship at sail across the sea,
across a midnight blue lake
further than imagination can reach
in a mystical land of faerie lights in the sky
and shining caves of ice.
Blocks of frozen water
float upon liquid water
the pieces of a thousand white puzzles
strewn across a blue tablecloth
that waves in the wind.
A lonely ship passes through
this magical land of snow
leaving a snail trail
across the deep blue sea.
The land is quiet
frozen in time as the ice
a silent land.
The only movement
comes softly, slowly
A ship at sail
across the sea.
