The Fairy Girl

The Fairy Girl

A Poem by pinksnowboots

The little girl,
in her bright play dress
splattered with colors
that match her fairy wings.
Wings that seem to large
for such a small girl
the fairy girl,
laughing and playing
jumping and flying
in the garden.
Her wings match the flowers
the bright rainbow hues
bright and welcoming
as the light in her eyes
and the smile in her face.
Though she can fly,
she chooses to walk,
to skip, to hop,
as children do.
The fairy girl,
laughs with the sweet rushing
of a river,
she laughs with you.
