home sweet home

home sweet home

A Poem by Eshe' Allen
"

bar talk can be very revealing

"

In this lot we have

5 prime quality wenches

remarkably preserved

as they were just

unloaded

a fortnight ago and

marched

down from Virgini' straightaway

Good solid child-bearing hips

on these first three

and the other two'd make fine

house girls

they're wiry with good strong teeth

strong as mules

but you'll only feed 'em

half as much

And these here are strong as oxes

you'll get your quota out of 'em

on birthin' day

and over every other

shall we start the bidding

with the pickaninnies?

- But that was 400 years ago

pre-

Obama

21st century civility...

"yeah but that Serena,

she's twice as fast.

And she's got good teeth too."

be we ever so

vigilant

there's no place like

home

I like the story in the poem. Price of dental care is important to check out the teeth. It is well written and made me smile this morning. You told quite a story and made it a very good poem to be able to read. Thank you.
