PLANT A ROSE

PLANT A ROSE

A Poem by poetdoug
"

This is the day to plant a Rose 'Tis time to make this start; Plant it deep in Memory's sod In the tendrils of your heart.

"
This is the day to plant a Rose
 "Tis time to make this start;
    Plant it deep in Memory's sod
     In the tendrils of your heart.

A Rose to honor your Mother dear
 We regret that we had to part;
  Plant it deep in Memory's sod
   Down in the hearth of your heart.

Mom loved all Roses, yellow and red
 And colorful flowers too;
  This is the day to plant Memory's Rose
    In the tendrils of your heart.

 Everyday can be Mother's Day
  Bequeath  honor to her of vivid sort;
   Give thanks to God, in Memory's sod
    Plant a Rose deep down in your heart.

a rose is a rose but the theory now goes
that the apples a rose so the pear I suppose
the dear only knows what will next prove a rose
you are a rose but were always a rose....forget the author of this ...but it is beautiful
just like your words...we can choose to plant a fresh start in forever memory...I adore rose bushes
lovely writing in thoughts and words

Thank you Jacob for your colorful comments: "A beautiful garden of words here". Love it my friend.
Your rose garden is a beautiful tribute to your mother, as is your poem my friend!! A rose planted deep in one's heart is one that shall ever bloom with love! And, yes! Everyday can be Mother's Day - heaven knows they are here for us every day!!
