Pancake Mix for Me

Pancake Mix for Me

A Poem by poetdweller

PoetDweller Pancakes

Start with: 1 cup innocence

                1/3 cup joy.

                3 tbsp. Hyperness

                1/2 cup Love.

Mix all ingredients in a bowl.

Really hard,

Till it turns into 1 3/4 Unstability

Taste a bit, then throw that portion away.

Its now 1/2 cup Bitterness

Torture the batter,

Whip it up real good,

2 cups Resentment

Let it sit,

While you leave the house,

And it sits all alone.

Will have the bacteria:

2 tbsp hatred

2 tbsp Sorrow

7 cups sick of the world

Burn it up,

Till it catches flame.

And there you go.

A Poetdweller Pancake.

CLEVER!!!
I liked the uniqueness, and the imagery created
from this fun read.

Very interesting. As Kiya said, the format lightens things up. It was the phrase 'Poetdweller Pancakes' that caught my eye. Definitely thought provoking- it sticks to the brain like a good breakfast to the ribs.
(Oh, that was cliche. Whoops. Bad Valkyrie.)
Anyway, interesting poem. I'm going to get around to reviewing the rest of your stuff sometime this summer...I hope. Dunno. A bit scatter-brained right now.

I've seen this done before, but not as heavily as this. We all go through times like these, and it's nice to get them on paper. Love the recipe format, it lightens the content, although it is so serious. Good write! - Kiya :)
