Missing you

Missing you

A Poem by Kim5576

I am nothing but a pair of two cold hands
I miss you
You filled me up
We would lay in bed together
Those long mornings
You brought me coffee in bed
Forget about the newspaper
We had love to give one another
Your arms embracing my body
Such magic you held in your frame
I was complete
Then one day
You were gone
Life took what I had and sent it to Heaven
No more locked embraces
No more love to give one another
Nothing but an empty soul
Do I have now
Weeks turned to years
The days are like pure hell without you
I sleep with your picture on my nightstand
And overnight a tear flows down my cheek for you
You went too young
And you left me with a hole in my heart
Hopeless
And husbandless
For you were my soulmate
The only one I knew
The only one I wanted
Seems like these days you can believe
Live for a while
Hold hands just for a bit
Then it's ripped away
Like a star falling from the moon's sky.

About
I love to write poetry in my spare time. I have enjoyed writing since I was 15 years old and I am in my 30's now. Poetry is a way of expressing every bit of emotion without verbally saying anything un.. more..
