The Barbed Wire In Life

The Barbed Wire In Life

A Poem by poetic-raven2012

My life is a blade of grass, standing strong in the
garden of life.
Breaking the rules lets the people in
to wander around.
For a little bit I am fascinated by their speech,
I cannot talk.
After a while though it is obvious that they only want to step on my
brothers and sisters.
Oh, oh, oh, I don't want to die,
don't let them kill my family!
Please, don't stand on me; don't sit on me;
please don't eat me.
The workers put up a barbed fence
around all of the grass,
my b rothers and sisters.
Oh how the wire mars my view of the sky.

I think this is me being claustrophobic about a 12 hour car ride set for tomorrow...ugh, my legs are asleep just thinking about it.
But, I'm going to South Carolina tomorrow!! Yesss....

Awesome poem! I sounds like it was from when we read Manazar. With the barbed wire and all. Nice poem and nice flow! You rock!
