Inner Emotion

Inner Emotion

A Poem by Poetic Beauty
"

How do I begin to uncage this emotion?

"
How do I begin to uncage this emotion?

My inner muse is fiercely pissed
Angry that brain, is blocking emotions
From spilling out into the pages
Casting them skyward into the night

She’s spitting mad at the reluctance
Eager to release the trapped feeling
That dwells buried inside the fragile heart
Caged behind solid barriers

I’m raging a war within myself
Keeping ardent flavor at bay
Protected within a heart’s rib cage
Detaching the notion that it’s real

Gee
Grief, loss, death are mainly the times when my pen writes without struggle, these writes for me my "better"(better than average) writes. Because this the case I guess the less I write the better:)
Not being a reader of anything much leads to my very simple way of writing, never ever used a thesaurus or dictionary when putting pen to paper.
Being a terrible reviewer I read much of many folks writing but seldom comment.
I have read and enjoyed most of your recent posts and have enjoyed the lovely feedback you get from all that visit.

Many time I fight what is wanting be written and what I want to write if that makes sense.
I love angry poems, they are so vibrant and visceral. Amazing word choice and punchy tone!

if I might be permitted to offer a few words of advice, I would suggest any uncaging should be undertaken slowly .. not necessarily with caution, but very slowly indeed and do try to maintain eye contact at all time .. then give a few wiggles here and there and a twist or two on the way down would most surely go down a treat .. .............................. Got'cha ..😎👍
It really be frustrating when we are trapped in our inner thoughts, and struggles to release,
but we must remember to calm our thoughts and be silent for a moment, just to feel peace and not feel at war with our thoughts in mind.
Nice write.

Me too, so I understand
The line 'My inner muse is fiercely pissed' hit me with some force... but it was such a telling word for the ranging drunkenness within, wanting to spill out in a stream of needful feelings... wanting to break out of the cage and find the freedom of an overwhelming f**k... Yes, that's the word that says it all... F**K. Total satisfaction.
