Fairy Garden

Fairy Garden

A Poem by Poetic Beauty

Engulfed in mystery, the path now overgrown
A place where faeries and children use to frolic
But now no seeds of laughter are sown

Children played with feathers, so light and airy
The emerald grass was soft as velvet
Now with no children there is only one fairy

Her dress is deep purple, and wings white as snow
She waits to hear their gentle laughter
So once again her garden will grow

Shiny purple hair stretches down her back
As her fairy dust glows and sparkles
While the dry earth begins to turn gray and crack

Then a tiny whisper comes from the abandoned path
A single child has finally come, at last
She enter the field and in the stream she takes a bath

The flower spring back perking up their petals
One child's unfailing love is all it takes
To bring the earth back from turning to metal

Laughter is magical no doubt. I love your fairy. The colorful descriptions are awesome. The rhythm is light and airy, but had a shimmering depth to the meaning. I really enjoyed the read. Thanks for the inspiration.
