Aching Darkness

Aching Darkness

A Poem by Poetic Beauty

Satin darkness falls over the earth
Littering the sky with twinkling stars
Mind forming memories, heart with scars

Silence stretches on with no end
Wishing time would feverishly pass by
Gruelingly slow it moves making me sigh

An aching in the heart squeezing it tight
Drowning from inner longing tears
A voice ears wishing, needing to hear

Teardrops slide from sorrow filled eyes
Emptiness tightening around the heart
Then the wishful dreams flare and start

Peace and quiet can be nice except when you are feeling lonely... the above verse is my favorite and the whole poem is quite wonderful despite the dark feel.

I see a Pericardium of darkness and starlight tears. I detect a sunrise that looks like wishful dreams... :-)

sadness is quite the subject, isn't it?
