I take kindly

I take kindly

I TAKE KINDLY.

I take kindly to temptation
And fear no judged recrimination
For it is free-will
Which directs my avenue of choice
And sensuality is a passion’s destination

And so…

Should your eyes be cast
In flirtatious manner, or in smiled violation
To charm these outrageous feelings
Then who blames me?
Certainly not I who, with a lusting greet
Find destiny’s joy
While under bedclothes stealing

To a man, who is lost to primitive action
Are we not all romantics in dark shapes
That we cast no shadows of remorse
When a night brings on passion’s prime
Then I am the wolf who drapes the self
To dress up in a sense of nicety, love’s clothes
That needs no obvious discourse.

If I am a sensual beast
Then I lay myself to blame the man in me
Who has lost the talent of sweet diplomacy
Though, in honesty’s sake
I do not steal a heart
But am tempted by the amorous swirl
Of colours that a lady plays with
And… Should a lady open her paint box
In temptation’s ploy
Then… I tell you this
I take kindly to temptation
