Fixed Routine

Fixed Routine

A Poem by Poeticpiers

Fixed routine.

When night surrenders to the day.

The risen sun will make his way.

In majesty from east to west

In pursuit of his daily quest

Though when the sun retires to bed

The western sky left glowing red

Will soon adopt a different hue.

Ever changing shades of blue

Until the Goddess of the night

arises to shed silver light

To let us know that Indigo

The final shade of blue to show.

Will flee before the morning sun.

She too will leave her task is done.

I like this, new take on a sonnet for me I have not seen one with eight beats per line before, but it flows well and is fresh like experiencing a new flavor of candy. I think the bard would be proud of this.

That was a lovely picture you painted. I could see all the colours swirling in the sky. Beautiful!
