Single Mother In New York

Single Mother In New York

A Poem by KatieJean
"

I wrote and performed this in high school

"
I've been working overtime
And pray do tell
The days finally over

While I'm walkin' down the busy busy street
My hips swayin' to and fro
I look pretty fine for a mother of two

I walk into my cozy cozy home
Got no hubby to support me
And there's never enough money
With the sitter and the bills

Tired but restless
My kids bouncing through the walls
And I'll tell you

This days over
But it ain't never over
For this mother of two
