New Orleans

New Orleans

A Poem by poetsblade
"

Time for a change

"

I’m tired of the house bill I can’t pay
Tired of the memories getting in my way
I’m tired of seeing everything going down
My misery don’t need company
I just need to get the hell out of this town

I’m gonna turn off my phone
Lock up my home
Change my jeans
And move to New Orleans

I’m tired of the phone calls “Where are you?”
Tired of doing what I never wanted to do
I’m tired of seeing everything going down
My misery don’t need company
I just need to get the hell out of this town

I’m gonna turn off my phone
Lock up my home
Change my jeans
And move to New Orleans

I like New Orleans. I was station at Fort Hood, Texas for five years. I went to the old city many times. If I was free. New Orleans would be a good place to rest and think. I like your poem. I know the feeling of wanting a new place to be. A excellent poem.
