The Void

And once again I see,

The longing, the yearning in the eyes,

An emotion so intense waiting to be free,

Coupled with an apprehension if this is just lies!

 

And then the heart starts to flutter,

For something untold beyond measure,

Craving to hold and be held,

And feel the other and the intensity to weld,

To an eternal harmony,

A wish from deep below from among many!

 

And then the inevitable happens,

The chemistry unfolds to usher in unison,

And the mind wanders to an untouched territory,

Just to return back in a hurry,

Only to remind the ultimate reality,

The sinking feeling that is going to be for eternity,

Until ------------the next time, I see!

Its alright, if you were to ask me I'd say your trying maybe just a bit too hard.
While I don't know much about poems, thinking is one of the last things you should do while writing one...does that even make any sense? XD
