The Devils Visit

The Devils Visit

A Poem by Shannon
"

A poem written about a nightmare I had roughly after my dog Zeus was hit by a car :(

"
Such negative energy takes over my body
I feel the sadistic grinding of your laughs
Your eyes are as red as a bleeding heart.
Teeth sharp as glass with stains of sin
Why do you come to haunt me after such a loss?

I'm not scared if that's what you want me to be
Your horns are black and they curve
Curve into my heart as if it wasn't already broken
Did you come to laugh at what you did?
Don't take the credit it wasn't you.

It's what you want after all
It's what you feed off as well as anger and fear.
Agony is what I feel but it's not from you.
I wish nothing but to cause you pain
But I know you would only get off on it

Your evil doings will never prevail
Your presence here doesn't show me  you won.
Everything happens for a reason not from your boredom
So just go away you evil laughing fool.
Disappear into the darkness of which you came.

I am a very religious believer and I fell deeply in love with this poem, and think you've done an incredible job of describing not only the devil's look, but his actions and thoughts. A great piece that is written well.
