Morning Muses

Morning Muses

A Poem by Pradipna Lodh
"

I was woken up by the sweet tune of nature which later became my muse to start the day in a better way.

"

As the birds recite couplets in my balcony

I eavesdrop from my bed

To listen to their musical harmony

Their indistinct chatter is like a tune

Better than the morning alarm that always rebukes

I rub the sleep off my eyes

Peek through the window to know

What’s happening outside

Two sparrows are having

A ball of a time

As they are making their den with pride

The Bonsai looks fabulous

Against the backdrop of the sun

Swaying its leaves

As the winds make them dance in unison

Leaving behind an ecstasy of nature’s delight
