Stranger In My Heart

Stranger In My Heart

A Poem by crazer

love poem

Stranger in my heart

Who are you that wears her face

And deftly holds her sacred place

Inside my heart you don’t belong

You have her voice but not her song

Now I’m so sad but then so certain

Fooled by beauty’s painted curtain

You took my hand and then control

Thank God you did not take my soul

For with it and it alone

I now know that she is gone

Gone back deep inside of me

The place I know she’ll ever be

For in this world I’ll never see

Such grace and joy such purity

This hateful world so wrecked by guile

Shall not be blessed by her sweet smile

A fantasy to good to be

You have your own reality

I lay alone on my cold bed

And dance with you inside my head.

Hypnotic description. Perfectly rhymed with a great rhythmic flow.

A wonderful poem of a dream love - someone too good to exist in this world. Good rhyme and flow in this piece. Well done!

A beautiful poem. Rhymed and metered, which is the type of poem I always write. I'd like to give points, but since I just joined WrtitersCafe today, I haven't any points to give. I'm also not sure what is a customary rating for a poem one admires. If the rating I gave is inappropriate, I apologize.
If you can, I would appreciate your reading my first submission, "The Life of Ice." So far there has been only one review and I'm uncertain if my work will be considered good enough for this site. Thanks.
