THERE IN MY GARDEN

THERE IN MY GARDEN

A Poem by prashant
"

its a poem about my feelings which arose one day by seeing mine garden.

"

THERE IN MY GARDEN

THE BURNT BRONZE PETALS

OF SHATTERED MARIGOLDS

SPEARS OF GOLDENROD

BENDING TO THE LOAD

OF PILLAGING BEES

TWO ARMOURED LIZARDS

A MAP BUTTERFLY

AND A DIVISION OF ANTS....

A SMALL YELLOW BIRD

ATTACKS THE LAST WILD CHEERY BLOSSOM

AND A LAUGHING BOY

STANDS OVER NEW GROWN CLOVER

WHERE, LAST YEAR SEPTEMBER

I BURRIED MY REVOLVER

IN THE DARK.....

i love this ... quite surprised by its knowledge of the military blended with nature and the small boy ..closing was a surprise that brought a whole new aspect to the poem ... a universal cry for peace from a man who has found it better than the gun .. well done says i! i will subscribe to your offerings for sure

The ending was unexpected, which is always a plus. Seriously, keep it up. You have talent, and can only go up from here.

I won't rate it. Because I think that's the very
Opposite of what poetry is about. I just enjoyed your poem so very much
At first I thought it was a child's poem
But the last. Jarring. A bit of darkness in the brimming light. Pretty awesome

you've given an interesting end to this poem! i could imagine the prettiness of the flowers and the insects and suddenly what i read is that a small boy had hidden a revolver there last September! nice work done here!

Wow. I was so caught up in nature's beauty that I was blind sided by the last three lines. Beautiful imagery throughout.
