Un- escapable Responsibilities

Un- escapable Responsibilities

A Poem by Candy

Familiar voices beckoning me back
to a familiar land.
A land full of old ghosts and scary truths.
A scary place but a place I can call home.
The sober reality that awaits is inevitable,
but I try to prolong my arrival as much as I can.
With my hands bleeding,
I still hold on to the rope.
