Angry Love

Angry Love

A Poem by princessorianna

The stars in your eyes have been clouded

By the dust that rains in this room.

The coffee-colored wrinkled paper

On which your face resides

Matches the mood of the dilapidated furniture.

You took flight one summer eve

Not telling me where you were going.

Assumed I could forget.

Oh, but you have made a permanent impression

On the clay that is my memory.

I loved you, damnit I did.

Your soft whispers.

Your secret charms.

I followed you

Like a blind man his dog.

Always trusting that you knew right.

Always believing that we would never die.

You abandoned me then.

Thinking of it now makes me want to explode

And turn this room to ruins.

You said you loved me.

But what did you really mean?

Look! Wherever you are!

Look what you’ve done to me!

Do you even care!

Did you ever care?

Did you ever truly care?

The only thing more spectacular than romance poetry is ANGRY romance poetry. o= I really liked this a lot. For some reason when I was reading it, I imagined it as a song in a musical. o_o; Not sure why, it just sounded like something that needed to be read outloud... in a song... XD Good job.^^;
