Conclusions

A Poem by Pete
"

Don’t get to the end of your life and realize you have never lived. - Thoreau

"

Why do things have to end?
I hate that word, "end".
It's so selfish and final.
It's in "pretend".
"Blend" and "spend".
Putting a stop to my "weekend".
Damn, it even hides in "fend".

I like it in "send".
Particularly in "lend" and "mend".
When it pays a "dividend".
Knowing how to "bend" and "transcend".
Protecting in "defend".
Catching in "apprehend".
Especially nice in, "friend" ...

I like the 'send' part or else would have missed this enjoyable read.
Definitely not a thing here to amend

not sure if i comprehend ... :)
If you learn how to extend, maybe you won't have to descend to the end so quickly.
