Blind Man's Bluff

Blind Man's Bluff

I say beware of all enterprises that require new clothes, and not rather a new wearer of clothes. - Thoreau

Petition · Change the name of the White Cliffs of Dover to the ...

yesterday masquerades as today
curses pretend to kneel and pray
succombing only to time
is the great move up or down

the iceman comes with trembling fingers
eternity is now as this dead moment lingers

flesh is born with expectations of infinity
eden is thought to be in the vicinity
silent, parched lips attempt to utter its trinity

growing ever weary of asking why
arguing with the sky
i try
i try
but these bluffs
these bluffs
are eight miles high

red rover
red rover
send my soul on over
lift me up and set me down
'pon the white cliffs of dover
