Direct your eye inward, and you'll find / A thousand regions in your mind / Yet undiscovered. Travel them, and be / Expert in home-cosmography - Thoreau

Night street scene in Berlin
Leipziger Strasse, Lesser Ury
German Impressionist Painter (1861-1931)

come home
before the street lamps turn blue
before the dawn summons you

come home
before frost blankets the ground
before silence makes a sound

come home
before time laments
before love ferments

come home now
it doesn't matter how
just come home
so i'm no longer alone
sitting naked with my phone

come home
before your feet turn to clay
whilst you still know the way

come home
before pride turns to shame
before father leans out the window and calls you by name

come home
before now turns into forever

better late than never

"But the place which you have selected for your camp, though never so rough and grim, begins at once to have its attractions, and becomes a very centre of civilization to you: "Home is home, be it never so homely." - Thoreau
