Reticence

Reticence

A Poem by Pete
"

I have, as it were, my own sun and moon and stars, and a little world all to myself. - Thoreau

"
The moon and the stars | TeachingEnglish | British Council | BBC

brilliant, ballistic stars blazed away and blew deep, penetrating, bulleted kisses
with their six-shooters of sanctity from the stratosphere
a rotating world turned a cold shoulder to a glowing, reticent, lunar attraction
the reclusive sun burned with envy and decided to combust incognito
angels joined together with steepled accordance in the clouds with a thunderous chorus of deliverance

no one seemed to appreciate the gravity of the situation
