Semblance

I took a walk in the woods and came out taller than the trees. - Thoreau

Teak Hardwoods | Teak Hardwoods Investment

i'm a tree
a living, breathing seed of ectoplasmic grace
righteous and real
towering above everything that you feel
wrought by my roots
bearing eden's fruits
imbibing from faith's creek
even if i'm a bit gnarled and weak

ever hopeful to flourish and make love to the sky
deciduous, without pressing need to ask why
fragrant white leaves
dense and chic
useful for eternity
like a hewn table of teak

if you don't believe me, just count my rings
as i swing and sway with angel's wings
and my lofty veneer sings

in a forest of kings
