Traffic Jam in Heaven

A Poem by Pete

The mass of men lead lives of quiet desperation, and go to the grave with the song still in them. - Thoreau

Stunning Tiffany Stained Glass Debuts After 100 Years of Obscurity | Smart News| Smithsonian Magazine

willing but flawed
these seemingly steadfast followers of god
every sunday, they came to hear the word
stained glass of their souls rolled down
flipping everyone the wrong bird

when push comes to shove
never able to find a white dove
where went the love
faith a balance beam in limbo
fingers and eternity hanging out the window
trying to take it easy on day seven
damn this traffic jam in heaven
