Obscurity (And Such)

Obscurity (And Such)

A Poem by Pete
"

We communicate like the burrows of foxes, in silence and darkness, under ground. We are undermined by faith and love. - Thoreau

7 Things You May Not Know About the Sistine Chapel | HISTORY

you said, "let there be light"
but it's so dark here
this can't be right
pitch black
it's nighttime and i'm wearing sunglasses
can't find the light switch
there must be some sort of glitch

somebody help me
help me to find my way around
i keep bumping into walls
tripping
stubbing my toes
lost in the throws
helpless under a burden of woes

i'm lost
can't find my way out
shrouded in heavy doubt
oh this faithless drought
no one hears my shout
please part this impenetrable sea and show me another route
one that is more devout
grant me some existential clout
help me to see what this is all about

did you really die for us all or are we doomed to go dutch
with one good leg and one crutch
one foot on the gas and one on the clutch
i'm not asking for much
just a little human touch
"and such were some of you"

insomuch

living in

obscurity and such ...

Yes so much hope is put into faith to search for answers. Another good write Pete. The human touch reminded me of another song “ I’m human on the inside.” Sung by the Pretenders, originally a song by Divinyls. Check it out especially the film clip of the song by Chrissie Hynde. It’s just excellento!! Magnificico!
