Sheer Poetry In Motion

Sheer Poetry In Motion

A Poem by Pete
"

My life has been the poem I would have writ, but I could not both live and utter it. - Thoreau

Premium Photo | Nude woman silhouette in the dark beautiful naked body girl

mere presence an innuendo
fingers laced with alliteration
hair flowing in assonance
lips moving meter
bosoms heaving sonnets of hyperbole
eyes rolling couplets of metaphorical meaning
each time i read her adding yet another longing verse

striking an alluring "prose"
legs stanzas of  more than sufficient length
marrying our meter and rhyme
the two of us forming an unexpected simile
my soul understanding her title
all parts vital
deep as any ocean

sheer poetry in motion

Author's Note

Pete
"There is all the poetry in the world in a name. It is a poem which the mass of men hear and read. What is poetry in the common sense, but a hearing of such jingling names? I want nothing better than a good word. The name of a thing may easily be more than the thing itself to me." - Thoreau
