up the creaking, uneven staircase i try to push away the dust, cobwebs and squalor of him striking her across a pixilated, about face coffee-cup rings of an inferno of emotions along with tossed, torn tethers of a three-legged race limping, wounded souls unable to pick up the pace no army of lawyers willing to take on such an unwinnable case i wait for the cleaning service but they never do arrive with so many others, they're stuck on life's littered highway in a never ending traffic jam of fetid unforgiveness longing for a new gps along with an alternate route oh where is the putty knife of peace when you need its clout forgiveness whispers whilst flashbacks shout a frozen, stuck sash unable to be lifted without doubt this window needs new sealing grout along with a liberating way out © 2024 PeteAuthor's Note
