Stir-Fry

A Poem by Pete
"

Thus men will lie on their backs, talking about the fall of man, and never make an effort to get up. - Thoreau

i cooked you the truth
you fed me raw, rancid lies

Author's Note

Pete
"My friend is one who takes me for what I am. A stranger takes me for something else than what I am. . . . What men call social virtues, good fellowship, is commonly but the virtue of pigs in a litter which lie close together to keep each other warm. It brings men together in crowds and mobs in bar-rooms and elsewhere, but it does not deserve the name of virtue." -Thoreau

Lies are sour and leave an aftertaste that assaults the senses long after they have vanished. I’d much rather have blunt honesty and given the choice to make a healthy heart felt decision than be told lies that dement my thought and decisions
