007 Replevin

A Poem by Pete
"

Never look back unless you are planning to go that way. - Thoreau

6 James Bond Car Chases: Where Was 007 Really Going? Features Film Threat

treading water in a wrathful, ocean riptide
aching for reprieve
wandering a desiccated, flaxen desert
absent an oasis
standing at the crossroads

back and forth, contemplating the unknown as my head bobs and nods
no matter which way i choose, i bear that path's ponderous load
i'm no james bond, nor do i know any secret code
so many people try to tell me which way to go
advising me to, "take it slow"
all sounding like dr. no

Pete
“You will pardon some obscurities, for there are more secrets in my trade than in most men’s, and yet not voluntarily kept, but inseparable from its very nature. I would gladly tell all that I know about it, and never paint “No Admittance” on my gate.” - Thoreau

Our path is ours to decide on but yeah, all the unsolicited advice we get can be annoying.
There's no secret decoder ring or crystal ball. Just the easy way and the hard way. We get back in rewards what we put in as effort. I tend to lean on the lazy side myself. 🙂

I know it's Goldfinger...but that is what I thought of after reading this most interesting piece.
"Do you expect me to talk?"
"No, Mr. Bond, I expect you to die"---

People throughout history looked for religious codes in their texts; the idea that whosoever reveal or crack the code will have immense knowledge and power. Even Egyptologists are looking for them. Mayan, Aztects, Macho Picho come to mind. If you crack the code Pete, please share with humanity; maybe we can avert a nuclear warfare.

All true and well articulated. You are welcome sir Pete.
Life is full of mysteries, trials and crossroads. There is no secret code for each of our paths we alone decide and navigate the trouble or calm waters
