That book is an all time classic Pete and sadly it has been cancelled from the curriculum in some schools. Mockingbirds are known for their fine singing. Bird song is certainly a gift. This little poem speaks to me about communication. So important to prevent misunderstandings. I would love to know what our avian friends are singing. I can only guess. Have a good Thursday.

a blessing - i love hearing the birds, especially in the morning when the sun comes up. it makes me feel as though the world is still okay. my new friend carol has a puppy named milo who i take for a walk everyday and spend a lot of time with. milo looks at us, tilts his head and barks - i swear he is talking to us. he's so smart. we'd all do well to turn more pages of nature. thanks chris.
