No Railing

No Railing

A Poem by Pete

Washington Pennsylvania Photograph ...

lathed sun drenches
sowed rain scorches
matters not to angels, devils and souls with covered porches

I'm waiting for a tumbleweed to float on by, while hearing the caws of crows or vultures. Like a desert land, now that I think of it...this reminds of a scene or two in the movie "Fival Goes West", the kids movie if you remember it. Haven't watched it in awhile, but remember it was one of my favorites.I also used to watch some old westerns with my dad. Always enjoy a good western!

Be it sun or rain, we seek refuge just the same.
Fine brevity and song choice.

This is saying to me that the atmospheric thought matters. The description of natural causes for philosophy. Excellent.

Sixteen words says it all, although thought invited - thoughts on the run, Pete. More than thanks galore.

Noting the state of repair here, and also the gentleman's posture, I'd say little matters to him.

beautiful poem Pete. The 3 line simplicity masks an almost bottomless pool of thoughts the mind can follow.

thanks twc. always bring the hat and know where the porch is.
Rain scorched, makes me think of when there has been an extremely long drought and the earth is so dried it’s crack. When it rains the water runs off because the parched earth can’t absorb it quickly enough with being so hardened. Covered porches indeed to make a good refuge from such down pours
