For the most part, I gave up on R-N-R in 1969 when, according to the Los Angeles Free Press declared "The hippie is Dead." And I've missed very little... Led Zepplin, The Allman Brothers George Thorogood, and SRV, but the rest of the top fifty charts are just plain empty.

Dear Pete, couldn’t quite understand what the band was sayin, but in mushy, they all were jammin and seemly having fun…. music give us a chance to forget out problems and just sort of space out! it’s a great outlet for some of us to forget the crazy world we live in and get into another kind of rhythm… Nice!
