he was cooler than cool back in the 1800's. people thought he was crazy going to live in a shack by himself on walden pond to enjoy nature and write about it and life. check him out if you get chance.

if you get a chance, check out his book walden. it changed my life and helped me find who i really was - that and of course the bible. he was part of a movement called transcendentalism that believed that god dwells with us, "speaks" to us through nature.
