The Silence

The Silence

A Poem by PureAbstrakt

Silence stank of dead bodies

Of memories that had to be killed-

-The ultimate sinful way

To ever commit to life again...

It hurt whenever I could not hold on

To the present,

I could hear memories howling

Like orphans left in a dark forest,

Haunting me down,

Calling my name

From the deepest of depths...

Silence seemed too loud to bear

Whenever it fell

Like a thunder over a drained valley,

Between past and present,

Between me and you...
