What do you mean by goodbye?
do you mean that you’ll never see me again?
Or, do you wish to never speak to me?
I will not say goodbye,
I’d rather smile while it kills me.
I will see you again,
and I hope it’s soon.

The last four lines were painful to read. Sounds like someone is in denial and in danger of pain.
